Welcome to another exciting school year at Esperanza Elementary! It has been an incredible privilege to serve this amazing community, and I look forward to building on the strong foundation we've created together.

This year, one of our greatest priorities is attendance. Our theme, Every Eagle, Every Day, reflects our belief that every day of learning matters. Students who attend school consistently and arrive on time are better positioned to build strong academic skills, develop meaningful relationships, and experience success. Our goal is to achieve an average daily attendance of 95% or better, and we cannot accomplish that without your partnership. We ask that families make daily attendance and punctuality a priority because every day truly counts.
At Esperanza, we teach and reinforce our Eagle P.R.I.D.E. expectations and the 3 Bs—Be Safe, Be Respectful, and Be Responsible. These habits are most powerful when they are modeled and encouraged both at home and at school. Together, we can help our children develop the responsibility, respect, perseverance, and confidence they need to be successful in school and beyond.
Student success is built on a strong partnership between families and school. Your encouragement, communication, and involvement make a lasting difference, and I appreciate the important role you play in your child's education. I look forward to another year of celebrating achievements, supporting one another, and ensuring every student has the opportunity to thrive.

Mark your calendars for Meet Your Teacher on Monday, July 27 4:00 - 5:30 p.m. It's a wonderful opportunity to meet your child's teacher, visit classrooms, and kick off what promises to be an outstanding school year.
Please note: if you have not completed registration, your child will not have a teacher assigned. Registration support will be available in the front office during the event.

First Day of School: Wednesday, July 29th 8:00 am - 12:25 pm. Students need to be on the playground by 8:00 am. No parents are permitted to enter the building, playground, or classrooms. All guests must come to the front office, no exceptions. Please review the school schedule for more information. Please be mindful of school days when planning vacations.
Kindergarten ONLY: Kinder parents may accompany their student to their classroom on the first day of school only.
Early Dismissal Schedule 8:00 a.m. – 12:15 p.m.

Mon., Tue., Thu. & Fri. 8:00 am - 2:40 pm; Wednesday 8:00 am - 12:25 pm.
- First Bell 8:00
- Instruction Begins 8:05
- Tardy Bell 8:10
Arrival: Please do not drop off students prior to 7:45 am. There is no supervision before that time.
We ask all parents to refrain from entering the playground area. Staff members will be available to help students find their teacher and classrooms. There is no supervision after 2:40 p.m. on regular days and after 12:25 p.m. on Wednesdays. Kindly make arrangements to have your child picked up on time. Thank you for helping us keep all students safe!
Dismissal: To ensure a safe and smooth dismissal, please note the following procedures.
- Aleppo Dr. Parking Lot is reserved for buses and handicapped parking only in the afternoon.
- K–2 students must be picked up from their teacher on the Aleppo side of the school.
- 3rd–6th grade students can be picked up in the Bantam Rd. parking lot.
- Please follow all posted speed limits and avoid blocking neighborhood driveways.

Please note:
- Light blue, black, and maroon polos are not approved uniform colors.
- Jeans, sweatpants, athletic shorts or pants, and leggings are not part of the dress code.

Healthy Eating Guidelines: We’re committed to supporting student wellness and creating a learning environment where healthy habits are celebrated! As part of that effort, we ask that all food brought in for classroom celebrations align with our Healthy Eating Guidelines.
